ABOUT MISTY EYES
Misty Eyes Animal Center has been providing safety and hope for dogs and cats in need since 2011. We are a 100% volunteer-run organization, and we are proud to say we are 100% debt-free!
Phase I: In 2018, we completed our current Administration Building & Adoption Center on 3.2 acres of land in Avon.
Phase 2: In January 2025, we opened our newest building, Kitty City! Kitty City is a permanent shelter that will house up to 50 cats in spacious and stress-free suites. Our next goal is to raise enough money for a paved parking lot for both buildings!
Phase 3: Canine Country will house up to 50 dogs in spacious suites! Both of these new buildings will allow us to save hundreds more animals every year!
Phase 4: We will build a Training and Humane Education Building
Phase 5: A Memorial garden will be built at the back of our property
Proceeds from the Bow Wow Bash will help us complete this important project for our community.
ABOUT BOW WOW BASH
The Bow Wow Bash was founded in 2011 by 11-year-old Courtney Sackett (with the help of her mother, Sheryl Sackett-Francik) to raise money to help animals in need in our community. Every year since its founding, this event keeps getting bigger and better!
The Bow Wow Bash is an outdoor family event with 100 vendors, the infamous (and competitive) Pet Contests, the Top Dog/Top Cat Competition, a lure course, rescue groups with lots of animals looking for their furever families, an incredible silent auction with items that will WOW you, food trucks, pony rides, the exciting Doggy Skydiving Spectacular, and the highly-anticipated Hendricks Power Ball Drop!
This event draws over 1,000 people and hundreds of dogs (and cats and other various pets) each year!
